Shawn Tan

Scholarship - Student at TTC
I am Shawn, and have been at WPCBC since 2015, along with Monica, my wife and more recently, our 3 year old daughter Mika. I am in my final year of my Masters of Divinity at Trinity Theological College, which I started after completing a 2 year apprenticeship at WPCBC. We love food, getting good deals and we are learning how to follow Jesus, as a family. We are thankful for all the support that we have received from WPCBC and various GFF partners over the years as we receive formal training at bible college to be better equipped to proclaim the gospel faithfully and continue making disciples who make disciples. We look forward to seeing you around!

Ministry Apprentice at WPC Bull Creek
Taylor and I have been at WPCBC for almost a year and a half now, and I've been a ministry apprentice since the start of 2021. As part of my apprenticeship I am also studying part-time towards a Graduate Diploma at Trinity Theological College. God has been incredibly good to us in the past year, and we're so thankful for the brothers and sisters surrounding us at Bull Creek. I am excited to see all that God will do in His power through his gospel in the year ahead - and excited to serve and worship alongside you all in 2022.

Ministry Apprentice - Vic Park
I'm a lover of all things arts, music, fine art, novels and film. I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my friends and family and sharing in fellowship. In 2022 I'll be at Victoria Park Presbyterian Church as an apprentice. I'm looking forward to learning under godly leaders and passionate followers of Christ. I also want to develop a strong foundation for my faith, as well as a greater understanding of God's word as I begin to be equipped to work in ministry. I am excited to be serving alongside Mitchell Royce and look forward to exploring different avenues of ministry within the church.

Ministry Apprentice - Vic Park
I moved to from Howatharra (the farm I grew up on near Geraldton) to Perth in 2016 to study Education and become a teacher. After 2 years of teaching, I am now entering a ministry apprenticeship with the intention of knowing and sharing Jesus more. I look forward to serving and loving God, as well as those that God has placed around me at Vic Park Presbyterian. I enjoy being out in creation and playing sport (great platforms for ministry!)
