Welcome

Reading

Corporate Confession:

Our Father, You are the maker of Heaven and Earth and all that is in them. You alone are worthy of our worship. We have not worshipped you as we ought. We have not loved you with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbour as ourselves. In your mercy, please forgive us, cleanse us and help us to live our lives to the honour of your son, Jesus.
Amen

Singing: Come People Of The Risen King

Keith Getty, Kristyn Getty, and Stuart Townend

Verse 1
Come people of the risen King
Who delight to bring Him praise
Come all and tune your hearts to sing
To the Morning Star of grace
From the shifting shadows of the earth
We will lift our eyes to Him
Where steady arms of mercy reach
To gather children in

Chorus
Rejoice, rejoice
Let ev’ry tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O Church of Christ rejoice

Verse 2
Come those whose joy is morning sun
And those weeping through the night
Come those who tell of battles won
And those struggling in the fight
For His perfect love will never change
And His mercies never cease
But follow us through all our days
With the certain hope of peace

Chorus
Rejoice, rejoice
Let ev’ry tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O Church of Christ rejoice

Verse 3
Come young and old from ev’ry land
Men and women of the faith
Come those with full or empty hands
Find the riches of His grace
Over all the world His people sing
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through ev’ry age
Our God is all in all

Chorus
Rejoice, rejoice
Let ev’ry tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O Church of Christ rejoice

Chorus
Rejoice, rejoice
Let ev’ry tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O Church of Christ rejoice

Christian Thinking

Singing: We Are His People

Philip Percival

Verse 1
We, we are God’s people
Once dead in our sin and now
Raised up with Christ in heaven
God rich in his mercy
Made us all alive in Christ
Seated with him forever

Chorus
By grace, we are saved through faith
Not from us but God
Not our works or boasting
By grace, we are saved through faith
Not from us but God
Not our works or boasting
By grace

Verse 2
We, we are God’s people
Once, once who were far away
Saved by the blood of Jesus
Now we are his temple
Filled, filled with his Spirit, made
For doing good in Jesus

Chorus
By grace, we are saved through faith
Not from us but God
Not our works or boasting
By grace, we are saved through faith
Not from us but God
Not our works or boasting
By grace

Sermon: True Worship – part 1 (Preacher: Craig Newill)

Singing: O Church Arise

Keith Getty and Stuart Townend

Verse 1
O church, arise
And put your armour on
Hear the call of Christ our captain
For now the weak
Can say that they are strong
In the strength that God has given
With shield of faith and belt of truth
We’ll stand against the devil’s lies
An army bold, whose battle cry is love
Reaching out to those in darkness

Verse 2
Our call to war
To love the captive soul
But to rage against the captor
And with the sword
That makes the wounded whole
We will fight with faith and valour
When faced with trials on ev’ry side
We know the outcome is secure
And Christ will have
The prize for which He died
An inheritance of nations

Verse 3
Come see the cross
Where love and mercy meet
As the Son of God is stricken
Then see His foes
Lie crushed beneath His feet
For the conqueror has risen
And as the stone is rolled away
And Christ emerges from the grave
This vict’ry march continues till the day
Every eye and heart shall see Him

Verse 4
So Spirit, come
Put strength in ev’ry stride
Give grace for ev’ry hurdle
That we may run
With faith to win the prize
Of a servant, good and faithful
As saints of old still line the way
Retelling triumphs of His grace
We hear their calls, and hunger for the day
When with Christ, we stand in glory

Singing: Be Thou My Vision

Mary Elizabeth Byrne and Eleanor Henrietta Hull

Verse 1
Be thou my vision
O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me
Save that thou art
Thou my best thought
By day or by night
Waking or sleeping
Thy presence my light

Verse 2
Be thou my wisdom
And thou my true word
I ever with thee
And thou with me Lord
Thou my great Father
I thy true son
Thou in me dwelling
And I with thee one

Verse 3
Be thou my battle shield
Sword for the fight
Be thou my dignity
Thou my delight
Thou my soul’s shelter
Thou my high tow’r
Raise thou me heav’nward
O pow’r of my pow’r

Verse 4
Riches I heed not
Nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine inheritance
Now and always
Thou and thou only
First in my heart
High king of heaven
My treasure thou art

Verse 5
High king of heaven
My victory won
May I reach heaven’s joys
O bright heaven’s sun
Heart of my own heart
Whatever befall
Still be my vision
O ruler of all
